“We had such an amazing stay at Kingston Manor. Such beautiful surroundings in a wonderfully private and peaceful setting. There was something for everyone with the games barn, hot tub, games to play, star gazing on a night. The house was very well equipped with everything you could need and more.” B – July 2024
“What an incredible place to stay! We booked the place for a family holiday/celebration of our wedding for the week and it was perfect for what we needed. Enough space so the 12 of us staying were together but each had our own space so we didn't get under each other's feet, and everyone was impressed by the house and the hot tub in particular. Juliet went above and beyond to help in our planning as we are from the mainland rather than the IOW, and the information and details provided were a huge help. Could not recommend the house, the hosts or the experience more highly. Everyone from our 3 year old son (who loved the barn and scooters!) to our 80 year old grandparents (who spent the majority of the days in the super sunny conservatory-type room doing crosswords and going for walks) loved the week. It made a beautiful backdrop for some wedding pictures, and we are so pleased we found this place.” S – May 2024
“Great little escape with comfy beds, beautiful surroundings, huge selection of glasses and plates, making all catering options for a large group easy plus lots of bathrooms a bonus for a group of women.” S – May 2024
“We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend. Juliet was always quick to respond to all of our many questions prior to our stay. The house and cottage were both really well stocked with everything one could need in the kitchen and anywhere really. Would highly recommend staying there.” J – May 2024
“WOW WOW WOW! Totally exceeded expectations - an absolute GEM on the Isle of Wight! Booked from Australia and had excellent communication with Owner. We have come away with wonderful memories - we didn't want to leave! Dining, Living and Bedrooms beautiful. BIG thank you to Juliet!” S – September 2023
“I ran a yoga retreat from Monday to Friday at Kingston Manor Isle of Wight and it was the most enjoyable time for everyone. We were self-catering for a big group of 19, and we found everything we could have wished for in the kitchen . The owner Juliet was more than welcoming and went out of the way to cater for our needs. I can recommend Kingston Manor and its cottage for weddings and retreats, it's the perfect venue.” K – July 2023
“This was our second visit to Kingston Manor and it didn't disappoint. The house, barn and garden are idyllic. The house is lovely, the bedrooms and kitchens well appointed. A perfect venue for a large family gathering, the barn is great for a party, the hot tub a perfect spot to relax, beautiful gardens and lovely walks from the house. Juliet is a wonderful host and we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back.” M – July 2023
“We were welcomed by Andor (from the agents) who was very welcoming & gave an informative tour ahead of our main guests arriving. He was also there to see us out at the end of our stay. The Manor is a fabulous place for a friends/family gathering with plenty of space to dine together in the Great Hall & room options to escape for some peace & quiet. The house is incredibly well equipped for cooking/dining as well as CDs/DVDs/Games & enough books to open a bookstore! We enjoyed a wonderful semi-formal birthday celebration in the Great Hall after canapés in the Sun Room. Despite it being October we were able to include a lunch in the wonderful garden. As The Manor is located in the countryside we enjoyed the peace & quiet, rarely hearing a car or plane just the sound of the sheep & birds. Definitely recommend cars as it is a bit off the beaten track but not far from the Coastal Path for nice sea view walking. We just wished we could have stayed longer to explore more.” C – October 2023
“The holiday was for a family celebration. My family loved the whole experience of this amazing medieval Manor House, the gardens and Barn was well used for games and walks .beautiful scenery. A few of the party used the local beach was easy to find and a short journey from the house. Friday was the local Crown Pub for fish & chip supper, well worth a visit. Used an island chef who was recommended by Juliet to cook for us on the Saturday night fabulous the menu was perfect. Used the barbecue on the Sunday sat in garden until dark then watched the night sky through telescope bought from home was another perfect day. The pool table was great fun with a family friendly game. Enjoyed watching the swallows dipping into the lake one morning just sat relaxing. Thank you for sharing your home could not fault in any way we all would love to come back another time as a family we left reluctantly saying one of the nicest short holidays we have had. Thank you again from us all.” J – September 2023
“This was a great and special location for holidays with other families and their kids. The initial tour around the house was one of the highlights for the children! An amazing and special yet relaxed house. And UK holidays are completely fine when you have a hot tub and a games barn to cover all the weathers. We look forward to visiting again. Juliet was super responsive and helpful.” K – October 2022
“Absolutely fabulous house. Quirky, steeped in history Beautiful grounds. So so many bathrooms. Heating amazing and showers - top notch. So well equipped Bedrooms huge, mattresses so so comfortable. Open fires cosy. So much choice where to cook, eat and relax. You will not be disappointed.” L – October 2022
“This house is fantastic, we stayed as a family group for my father’s 70th and had a wonderful time! It’s large and comfortable, impressive and everything you need to cater for a large number of people (we had 8 plus three kids). Highly recommended and would stay again. Thank you!” A – September 2022
“The house was brilliant - there is just so much space and the barn was perfect for the kids to play in independently. It’s an old house so expect character over mod-cons but that suited us perfectly and is what we were after.” P – August 2022
“Juliet is the perfect host. We had lots of info on amenities and things to do whilst in holiday. The manor is a place of beauty and accommodate our family well. We had a memorable 2nd trip to iow and stayed in majestic comfort! Thanks Juliet!!” S – August 2022
“Beautiful spacious medieval manor house! Nicely located and beautifully kept grounds. We loved dinners in the great hall. Our kids enjoyed running around the grounds and playing games in the barn. The hot tub was a great bonus. We were in awe of the beauty of this place, our every window was a spectacular view. Close to the beach and pub nearby. Highly recommend!” L – August 2022
“We had a brilliant weekend at Juliet’s house, very clean, very well equipped, great garden where we played lots of football & cricket … and a fab hot tub for the adults to enjoy after getting the kids to bed! Very comfortable beds and overall highly recommend.” I – June 2022
“Had a lovely family stay here from 18th June till 24th June 22. Everything you could want for a relaxing stay in the countryside with easy access to everything within 20 min drive. Juliet and her team have been great hosts communications were great and we would possibly rent this again at some point. Thanks Juliet!” S – June 2022
“What a wonderful house and setting. Everything exceeded our expectations. Perfect for a large gathering yet with enough privacy for everyone and plenty to do. All the information and help given to us by Juliet was spot on. Highly recommended and we would definitely book again.” T – May 2022
“Juliet’s house is incredible. The location and facilities were perfect for our family celebration. We were able to accommodate everyone which was our main requirement. Plenty of room both inside the house and out in the very well kept grounds gave us all our own space if we needed it. From our initial enquiry over two years ago, to writing this review I can’t speak highly enough of my/our whole experience. I am more happy to recommend and we will be desperate to return as soon as possible!” S – May 2022
"Kingston Manor lived up to expectations. We were met on arrival by Andor who gave a quick tour and left us to continue exploring on our own, he also gave us his mobile in case of any problems. Juliet had been in contact prior to our stay and also sent a message during our stay to check we were okay. The Manor has a grand feel but also a lovely family feel. We visited with 3 generations and felt that it catered for all our needs. The games barn and den was where the teenagers hung out together. The library was favoured by the older members as a quiet sanctuary. The hot tub and gardens were enjoyed by everyone. Our week away felt like a real escape. The bedrooms are beautiful and beds were so comfortable and with 7 bathrooms there is no queue to use a bathroom. We loved all eating together in the main dining room and lit the beautiful fire one night too. The kitchens are well equipped to make cooking for large groups easy. We had a fantastic stay and will definitely be back." M - April 2022
"Kingston is a beautiful home and is seeped in history. The architecture and woodwork is beautiful. Every window has a beautiful outlook. We all felt that we could spend days there without going anywhere. Everything we needed was provided and Juliet and Andor were fantastic hosts. Having the barn for the kids to run around in was fantastic and they spent hours playing croquet in the sunshine. A moonlit hot tub was also magical. We would highly recommend staying at Kingston. Do look up the history of the Manor." T - October 2021
"This was a fabulous location for 14 adults and 2 children, to celebrate a family birthday. Juliet was most helpful, friendly and easy to contact. The location was excellent, set in beautiful peaceful countryside. Outstanding gardens (15 acres I believe), wonderful hot tub cleaned out for our arrival, plenty of logs for several log fires, central heating if necessary, and lots of eating space inside and out. Well equipped kitchens and very inviting and cosy atmosphere. Many super king sized beds and a bathroom for each bedroom. A fabulous find." G - September 2021
"Wonderful house and outstanding gardens. The house is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. We loved the local country walks, trips to the beach (Ventnor became a firm favourite), and the hot tub! Having had fantastic weather we ate every meal in the garden. Thank you Juliet!" L - July 2021
"Fantastic place to stay, loads of space and tons of character. The manor is a real gem with lovely grounds to explore, all the facilities were as described and the rooms well maintained and spotless. Was an honour to be able to stay in such a historical location." T - June 2021
"This is the most wonderful house for a big group with space and activities to keep people of all ages happy. It’s extremely well-equipped and comfortable - and most important it really is somebody’s house with all their beautiful art and furniture. An absolute treat and we will be back." C - May 2021
"This is a beautiful place to spend a long weekend whatever the weather. The house was very cosy and comes with so much history to explore. Enjoying the huge fireplace in the great hall while playing a murder mystery game was our highlight for us. It was also surprising warm given age and size of the property. Juliet and her staff were at all times helpful, welcoming and at hand if we needed anything. Would highly recommend." N - October 2020
"We stayed at Kingston Manor for a family holiday to celebrate an 80th Birthday and had an amazing weeks holiday in the Isle of Wight. Coming up the drive and seeing the Manor house is truly stunning. The Manor house had all that we needed, plenty of parking, bedrooms to cater for all the party, equipment for every need throughout the house and plenty of rooms to spend time in as a group or smaller. Whether eating in the grand hall, watching TV in the Library and Snug or relaxing in the lounge the house provides so much to do for all. Outside we enjoyed a BBQ in gardens with late September sun and had the Hot Tub to relax in after any long day exploring the Island. The manor is in a great location and we found that all destinations on the island could be got to in around 20 minutes as this is very centrally located. We had an amazing time at Kingston Manor and would recommend staying here to any large group especially if it is for any celebration." R - September 2019
"WOW factor ! A huge and quirky property that we felt immensely privileged to share with the owner. The fact that the owner lives there most of the time isn't something we've dealt with before in rental properties. To begin with we felt a little awkward with cupboards being marked "Owners" but we soon relaxed as the generosity and scope of all the stuff that was available for us to use dawned on us. The house and grounds blew everyone away when they arrived, many open mouths and childlike delight at exploring the seemingly endless corridors, leading to room after room. The furnishings are tasteful and plentiful; diverse too mixing antiques with some very modern paintings. We partied hard, relaxed in the hot tub, had the occasional game of snooker, socialised in many comfortable settings and the dogs loved the freedom, offered by the huge secure courtyard. The walks around there are second to none, the views are stunning and the weather was kind to us. We all loved it, we're trying to think of an excuse to go back, and I would recommend it highly."
